Atmospheric Water Generators

Atmospheric Water Generators (AWGs)

Native Power is a distributor for Watergen’s Atmospheric Water Generator (AWG) technology in Australia which can be used to replace the plastic bottles being purchased with not only a significant financial benefit, but also many intangible benefits such as less plastic in the environment, less pollution from transporting the bottles and certainty of water supply for the children.

Native Power partnered with the research of ANU Economics Department, regarding Issues concerning clean water to regional and remote communities.

The benefits of replacing plastic bottles with world-proven, patent-protected AWG technology.

AWG Technology

Watergen has been developing and producing AWG technology for over 10 years and is already operating in 70 countries around the world. It is the only globally certified AWG solution on the market. Our products come in various sizes, depending on the application, and range from 30 liters per day to 6,000 liters per day. Water is produced from as low as 15°C and 20% humidity.

The NSW Department of Pathology’s Forensic & Analytical Science Service tested the water produced by one of our machines in November 2021. Their report is available upon request. It shows that our water exceeds all Australian Drinking Water Guidelines with a pH of 7.5 and hardness of 7.1 which is ‘lighter’ than tap water.

AWG is a state-of-the-art technology that creates high quality drinking water from air and is a renewable source of water. The technology involves filtering the air, creating water by extracting humidity from that air, filtering the water and then lastly, re-mineralising the water, the key difference between AWG and alternatives such as filtration or reverse osmosis which remove the essential minerals required for healthy drinking water.

Listed below are links to Watergen products that are most suited to the Australian environment.

Technology Selection:

Native Power has researched available AWGs and choose the most efficient and safe AWG technology based on Australian and Pacific conditions. Our AWGs are highly efficient, reliable, and have low maintenance requirements. The only maintenance is that filters are changed every six months.

Needs Assessment and Site Selection:

Consulting with First Nations people to identify isolated communities where access to clean water is limited. We take into consideration factors such as climate, humidity levels, and existing infrastructure when determining appropriate AWGs for the local population. Decisions such as using standalone units or ones that can be integrated with an existing water source will be made after further discussions with community.

Community Engagement:

We are engaging with local community to understand their water needs and gain their support. Native Power are also educating first nations communities about AWGs and their benefits. Fresh Clean Water is essential for Diabetes, Dialysis and Kidney disease unfortunately this is prominent in many of our communities.

Installation and Setup:

AWGs can be installed in strategic locations (e.g., schools, health centres, and first nations communities). Our set up will ensure proper electrical supply and maintenance support and that drinking water is distributed where needed.

Monitoring and Maintenance:

Our System uses a computer, that will be connected by Star Link our Partners for communication anywhere. The computer monitors AWG performance (water production, energy consumption, water Quality etc).

Native Power uses robust monitoring and reporting of management objectives that are crucial to sustainable and effective water resource management.

They will measure the success, inform our reporting. They also facilitate adaptive management and provide the ability to make informed and timely decisions to address emerging issues and processes reflect contemporary water resource needs. This flexibility is crucial in the face of the dynamic factors that affect water resources so strategies can be adjusted in response to changing conditions and new information.

System has minimum maintenance. Local Electricians and Plumbers can be used to connect machines to existing plumbing and existing electrical systems, if required. Basic maintenance can be done by anyone, as is only a matter of changing filters, every six months.

Water Distribution:

Native Power collaborates with local communities for efficient water distribution. Scenarios can include using the larger machines to refill water tanks at a very low cost. In cases where it is not feasible to connect to an existing water supply individual homes, offices, Schools, Community Centres can be supplied with AWGs tailored to their individual requirements.

Emergency Preparedness:

Our Mobile AWGs are designed to be included in disaster preparedness plans. Native Power ensure AWGs can operate independently during emergencies, with the use of Solar Panels, Inverter and Batteries to supply off grid power.

Sustainability and Scaling:

AWGs once installed are reliable and low maintenance.

Australian built and assembled:

Native Power and Sustainable Food and Water Pty Ltd have a vision to manufacture AWGs under licence in Australia. Ngulingah Jugun (Western Bundjalung) located North Coast NSW will be the preferred First Nations community to manufacture our AWGs.

This will provide:

  • Continuity of Supply in cases of disruptions to trade.
  • Indigenous Business Employment and Training Opportunities.
  • Export Market opportunities to the Pacific and Timor.
